Decentralized Finance Protocols

This was the first data analysis project I completed by myself. Apart of my Google Data Analysis Certificate was the option to complete a capstone project that helps showcase the skills I learned during the course. With these projects we could of either followed a prompt with a given dataset or explore our own dataset. I decided to take my own route and analyze data about Defi and the different projects  that make up this space. I chose to explore this data specifically because it focuses on a space I'm highly interested in.

Goal The primary goal was to identify what projects would be the most fruitful and prominent across the Defi sector.

Solution I Identified the projects and project characteristics that appear to have the greatest chance of assisting the evolution of Defi as its own sector.

Process  Overall the project was fun to work on. It allowed me to gain experience with the skills and software taught in my certification. I did not expect to spend as much time as I did cleaning the data and downloading csv files. Once the data was cleaned, the analysis process was enjoyable and easy. This project allowed me to use SQL and  Google sheets to analyze and aggregate my data. It was also my first time using Google Sheets to make my data visualizations, allowing me practice building data visualizations. The best part was slowly identifying trends in the data, formulating new questions and yielding new answers. This project urges me to keep learning about the Decentralized Finance space as it expands. This project gave me information on how I can better improve my analysis skills, use other software like tableau for more comprehensive visualizations and insights on how I want to further my learning.
